Brief history of company
1960 to 1979
  • May 1967

    Founded as NIHON CHEMICAL in Onomichi.
    Started chemical cleaning and oil flushing for ships, equipment, pipes and tanks, etc.


  • June 1973

    Built pickling factory in Fukamachi, Mihara.
    Started pickling and coating for various steels.


  • May 1977

    Established as NIHON CHEMICAL CO., LTD. in Shinhama-cho, Fukuyama. (Capital: 1 million yen)
    Started shot blasting and coating at the same time.
    Hitoshi Murakami became president and chief executive officer.


1980 to 1989”N
  • Nov. 1981

    Built Hongo factory in Hongocho, Mihara, Hiroshima.
    Promoted more demand of shot blasting.


  • Nov. 1981

    Increased the capital to four million yen.


  • Feb. 1983

    Consolidated shot blasting and coating into the Hongo factory.


  • Mar. 1983

    Changed the head office to Hongocho, Mihara, Hiroshima.


  • Jan. 1989

    Increased the capital to ten million yen.


1990 to 1999
  • June 1990

    Moved the head office and head factory to the current place.


  • May 1995

    Remodeled the Mihara factory into the shot blasting factory.


  • May 1996

    Established the Urayasu office in Urayasu, Chiba.
    Completed the Urayasu factory to meet the needs of eastern Japan.


  • Jul. 1996

    Joined the URAYASU TEKKO DANCHI cooperative association.


  • June 1998

    Masashi Murakami became representative director and president officer.


  • Nov. 1999

    Obtained ISO9002 certification


Since 2000
  • June 2000

    Started the cut process for shipbuilding steels in Urayasu factory.


  • June 2001

    Started the cut process for shipbuilding steels in Head office factory.


  • June 2002

    Constructed the processing plant C-building for shipbuilding steels at the head office factory.


  • Dec. 2002

    Obtained ISO9001:2000 certification


  • Apr. 2003

    Constructed the processing plant D-building for shipbuilding steels to the head office factory.


  • Jan. 2007

    Completed the Onomichi factory, and started the cut and bending for shipbuilding steels.


  • Mar 2007

    Established the Ako factory in Kamigooricho, Ako-gun, Hyogo, and started stainless pipe internal shot blasting


  • Aug. 2008

    Shinji Murakami became representative director and president officer.


  • May 2009

    Established as HAKODATE steel center CO., LTD.


  • Sep. 2009

    Moved the shot blasting processing line of Mihara factory to head office factory C-building.


  • Apr. 2010

    Started operation in HAKODATE steel center CO., LTD.


  • June 2012

    Established as SEMBOKU steel center CO., LTD.


  • Jul. 2012

    Started operation in SEMBOKU steel center CO., LTD.


  • Jan. 2013

    Moved the facilities of Ako factory to head office factory (SUS pipe 1st factory) and started stainless pipe internal shot blasting.


  • Feb. 2013

    Established 2nd factory for stainless pipe internal shot blasting.


  • Mar. 2013

    Remodeled the shot blasting processing lines of head office B-building and Urayasu factory to enable the processing of 2.3mm in head office and Urayasu factory.


  • Feb. 2015

    Transferred the steel cutting and bending machine in the C-building of the head office factory to a site in the Onomichi Factory (Onomichi Second Factory)


  • Jul. 2015

    Replaced a set of shot blast equipment in the Urayasu Factory.


  • Dec. 2015

    Established the NC Mutual Aid Fund (company mutual aid fund)


  • Aug. 2016

    Masahiro Ishida inaugurated for the position of president


  • March. 2017

    Relocated the second Urayasu factory (Shot Service Co., Ltd.) to 12 Minato, Urayasu. A set of shot blasting equipment was replaced to resume the production.
